Our Story

VoxBox, Inc. was launched in early 2017 with a single project, Memria.Org, a mission-driven social enterprise aimed at helping nonprofit organizations like libraries, museums, and truth and reconciliation commissions harness the power of community storytelling, oral history, and audio testimonials to help achieve their social missions.  By building software, providing services, and managing large projects such as VivaVoz.org in Colombia, Memria has helped these organizations collect and share thousands of stories worldwide.

Since then, VoxBox has taken on numerous projects and consultancies, such as working with Invisible Giants to help them accomplish their mission: to make Black women in Africa and the Diaspora more visible. As a consultancy, VoxBox helped conduct research and develop programs on memory of mass atrocity and human rights in Ukraine with the Partnership for a Resilient Ukraine (PFRU)

In 2025, VoxBox incubated a new project, the ARCS Roundtable, to help build a community of practice around alternative resourcing for social change.
